MFA’s decision to base itself in Asia is no coincidence. The bustling economies of emerging countries as Hong Kong, Singapore and Korea were the first to exploit the advantages of AFCS systems and the huge market of China is not far away.
In addition Asia is the centre of cost effective IT resources where MFA has access to such resources in both the Philippines and India.
MFA’s first major roll was to manage the design phase of an Automated Fare Collection System with an Integrated Booking System. The prime contractor was Mitac Corporation, a large international publicly listed company in Taiwan. MFA were appointed as Project Directors for the design phase.

The initial momentum was continued by signing of a Sales and marketing agreement for the supply of an AFC Clearinghouse, Settlement System and Issuer software product.
More recently MFA has managed the successful implementation of a Clearinghouse system in Europe and undertaken a number of security reviews of existing systems in Asia.
